Inspector's notes

Employee sweeping floor with a broom, then put on gloves and went to repackage and put away a box of burger patties without washing hands. Same employee handled raw burger patties, then removed gloves and went to handle the ice scoop without washing hands. PIC stated that the employee would be trained on when to wash hands. FOOD EMPLOYEES shall clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms as specified under § 2-301.12 immediately before engaging in FOOD preparation including working with exposed FOOD, clean EQUIPMENT and UTENSILS, and unwrapped SINGLESERVICE and SINGLE-USE ARTICLES. After discussion with the person in charge, it has been determined that the root cause of the violation was training staff and a verification breakdown which resulted in the violation. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
