Inspector's notes
Observed employees with artificial, painted, nails, scooping ice, handling open fries, and nuggets without gloves. Employees working with exposed food, wearing fingernail polish or wearing artificial nails, must wear gloves. Person in charge had employee wash hands and place on gloves before returning to food service station. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. 2-402.11 - Core: Effectiveness-Hair Restraints Addl Notes: Observed several employees cooking, scooping ice, preparing chili orders, and bagging open fries with loose ponytails, and hair dangling in front of face. Food employees shall wear hair restraints such as hats, hair coverings or nets, beard restraints, or other effective hair restraints and clothing that covers body hair, that are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; and unwrapped single service and single-use articles. Person in charge to order hair nets, and coach staff on proper retraints. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Inspector's notes
Observed an employee handling raw hamburger then went to wash hands after dropping the burgers on the flat top grill. The employee put soap on hands before turning on the faucet, then turned on the faucet and rinsed the soap off right away. There was no scrubbing or lathering of the hands prior to rinsing. Stopped employee and gave them coaching on proper hand washing procedures. Employee re-washed hands properly at time of inspection. Discussed proper hand washing with employees to include turning water on, wetting hands, applying soap, lathering all parts of hands for 15-20 seconds, rinsing off soap lather, drying hands with paper towels, and finally turning water off with paper towel. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
