Observed PIC at the cash register conducting a transaction with customer and then proceed to place on a pair of gloves to prepare a potato without first washing hands. Inspector instructed PIC to remove gloves and properly wash hands prior to working with ready to eat food items Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
