No County legal action will result from this inspection.Observed Y-valve or side kick attached to mop sink faucet that has an AVB, both sides connected to hoses. Explained to PIC that the AVB valve is not designed to be continuously under pressure and that there shouldn't be any obstructions downstream from the AVB valve. This could result in the backflow prevention device to fail. PIC states she will talk to the owner to have the Y-valve removed.

Observed no CFPM on site at time of inspection. A Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) is required to be on the premises during all hours of operation. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Violation #49 not correct at time of re-inspection.Wye-valve shall not be hooked to mop sink faucet. Chemical dispenser shall be on it's own dedicated water line. If a hose is attached to the mop sink, there must be a backflow device. Faucet should be repaired/replaced as the hot water handle is inoperable. Per manager, permit holder has been out of the country and should return March 7th. Environmental health Supervisor spoke with manager and corporate is going to help put in a work order for repairs.A pattern of non-compliance is developing for Priority violation # 49, Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices: 5-205.12 (A), P, which has been noted during this inspection. An Active Managerial Control Intervention Visit was offered by email to the permit holder. PRIORITY VIOLATION-5-205.12 (A), P: Prohibiting a Cross Connection -- Observed chemical dispenser connected to mop sink by a wye-valve. PIC was unable to disconnect as faucet knobs have been stripped and are unable to turn system off. Chemical dispenser shall be installed on own dedicated water line. Mop sink faucet with a hose attached shall have a backflow prevention device and shall not have a wye valve. A re-inspection will occur on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
