Predefined Comment: Discussed the importance of proper hand washing procedures with the person-in-charge (PIC). Proper handwashing procedure is to rinse hands with warm water, scrub with soap for 10-15 seconds, rinse with warm water, dry with approved drying provision, and turn off in a manner to prevent re-contamination of hands. Entire process should take approximately 20 seconds for full and proper handwashing to prevent spread of pathogens and contamination. PRIORITY VIOLATION-2-301.14 - Priority: When to Wash. There were (2) gallon size bottles of Ortho pest control spray on the ground near the cleaner's storage area. Person in charge (PIC) stated they belonged to an employee that was taking them home. Discussed with PIC that pest control cannot be stored on site of any food establishment. PIC moved the bottles to the dumpster at time of inspection. All pest control for the establishment must be performed by a certified pest control specialist and chemicals for pest control must not be stored onsite.
