Inspector's notes

Employee observed using a towel to dry the lids of containers in the ware wash area. PIC stated that the employee would be trained to air dry the equipment. After cleaning and SANITIZING, EQUIPMENT and UTENSILS may not be cloth dried except that UTENSILS that have been air-dried may be polished with cloths that are maintained clean and dry. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Two automated production lines had been fully installed.Permit is approved to operate.There will be three other production lines added in the next few months. Construction inspection was conducted with the site superintendents, Jesse and Leslie and company representative. Construction is at 70% completion.Please address the following items prior to the equipment inspection:1. Provide a spill resistant vacuum breaker (SRVB) 12 inches above the water connection point of the hose reels.2. Fill gouges, cracks, saw cuts and expansion joints on concrete floor. Water must bead-up on the concrete floor. Floors in restrooms, work rooms, dry storage, janitor closets, can wash areas must be smooth, non-absorbent and easily clean.3. Provide tiles, stainless steel or FRP on walls of the can wash and scrubber dumping areas. Painted walls are not acceptable.4. Caulk and seal all gaps, cracks, and penetrations throughout. This includes inside walk-in unit. Construction is at 30%.Discussed hand sink locations, cleaning procedure for facility, equipment and floor sinks’ locations. Per the COO, Vincent C.:1. 3 additional hand sinks will be added outside of the work rooms. 2. All equipment will be dry clean and sanitize in place. No water will be used for cleaning the large equipment. Small parts will be washed, rinsed, and sanitized in the 3-compartment sink. Requested for documents of procedure, chemicals used for cleaning equipment or HCCAP. Plumbing inspection was conducted with the site superintendent, Jessie C. Construction is at 20% completion. New underground plumbing is completed. Demolition of old facility is done and new framing had started.Please address the following items prior to the next inspection:1. Provide a hand sink with side splash guards inside each workroom and ware washing room. Hand sink must be visible, easily accessible inside the work zone. Barriers such as strip curtains, self-closing door/ curtain, hallway, arch way, or large piece of equipment, tables, etc. will require another hand sink in the same room.2. Provide an additional water stub-out at the mop sink for chemical dispensers.3. Provide drain troughs inside rooms with clean-in-place equipment.4. Provide spill-resistant vacuum breaker (SRVB) (ASSE 1056) 12 inches above the water connection point of the waterspouts for sprayer hoses.5. Provide hose reels for the hoses.6. Provide 3/8-inch radius cove base at walls and floor junctures throughout the production areas, ware washing, packaging, ingredient storage, packaging products and finished products areas. Rubber cove base is acceptable.7. Provide washable ceiling tiles or hard lid over the ware washing room.8. Areas without FRP in permitted areas (restrooms, mop sink, ware wash, sampling room, etc.) must painted with semi-gloss paint. Please use light color only.
