Construction inspection for a Class 2 Food Processor permit was conducted with manager Sasha B. by appointment. The establishment was open and operating at time of inspection. The facility is still approved to operate. Please address the following items prior to the routine inspection: 1) Utilize a high strength adhesive at the pull out sprayer faucet located in the employee break area to ensure the sprayer cannot be pulled down at any time to create a cross connection. 2) Provide sheet metal flashing to the back gap of the three compartment sink or utilize backer rod foam and caulk on top of the foam. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Final construction inspection for a Class 2 Food Processor permit was conducted with manager Sasha B. by appointment. The establishment was open and operating at time of inspection. The facility is receiving a conditional approval to operate since they meet minimum requirements. The following items must be corrected prior to the next construction inspection within 30 days: 1) Provide an open vent pipe on the three compartment sink drain, as discussed. Ensure that a 1" minimum air gap is provided between the top of the drain and the compartment basins. 2) Provide an ASSE 1013 reduced pressure backflow preventer upstream of the RO system or remove the RO system and provide a three stage carbon filter unit. Certify any installed backflow preventers. 3) Repair the small leak at the three compartment sink. 4) Replace the pull out sprayer faucet at break room sink with a rigid faucet or permanently adhere the sprayer piece to ensure it cannot be pulled out. 5) Remove the doors to the tea production areas to provide easy access to the currently installed handwash sink at all times. 6) Reconfigure the east production room so that the staff member working in the area can visibly see the handwash sink. 7) Caulk the three compartment sink to the wall with silicone. 8) Caulk-in all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetraions throughout the facility. 9) Provide self-closing hinges to the restroom door and the door between the storage and production areas.10) Replace the perforated acoustical ceiling tiles in the restroom with smooth, washable vinyl ceiling tiles. 11) Reattach the rubber cove base in the restroom, as needed. 12) Provide weather stripping to the back exterior door. Failure to correct the following items prior to the inspection will result in enforcement action. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.
