#10 — Adequate Handwashing Sinks, Properly Supplied and AccessiblePriority foundation5-202.12

Inspector's notes

Unit did not have warm or hot water available at hand sink at time of inspection. Upon asking staff if the water heater was on, staff said that they did not think they had a water heater and did not think the unit ever had hot water. Inspector located water heater and turned it on at time of inspection. Unit then ran out of water for handwashing after heater was turned on while inspector was checking temperature. Employees refilled tank at time of inspection. Handwash sinks must be supplied with hot water of at least 100°F, soap and an approved hand drying provision at all times. Facilities must be maintained in a condition that promotes handwashing. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
