Inspector's notes
On previous inspection discussed with Person In Charge to remove y valve from mop sink faucet. During current inspection observed again water supply in mop sink area directly attached to the chemical dispenser via downstream connector and y vavle. Notified Person In Charge (PIC). Faucet has approved AVB installed, which has been under pressure whenever water supply is on. Discussed AVB's and backflow. Non-testable Anti-siphon Vacuum Breaker devices are designed to protect potable water supplies from the back-siphonage of non-health hazard crossconnections and low flow, non-continuous pressure installations. Use only with non-continuous pressure. PIC had employee remove y valve. =============No shut-offs (butterfly y-valves), solenoids, or devices (i.e. side-kicks), equipment, etc., are allowed be present on the downstream side of an AVB. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
