Inspector's notes

Observed some organic matter on the inside of several soda fountain nozzles at the soda fountain. The person in charge removed the soda fountain nozzles and placed them at the 3-compartment sink to be washed, rinsed and sanitized at time of inspection. The person in charge had spare clean soda fountain nozzles that they swapped in for the soiled nozzles. Discussed with person in charge to clean the soda fountain nozzles on a more frequent basis to prevent accumulation of organic matter on the nozzles. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed ice buildup around fan and racks in walk-in freezer. Discussed with person in charge importance of keeping ice buildup at a minimum to prevent fan damage and drippage contacting any product. PIC stated they defrost the freezer every other month and would put another work order in. Physical facility must be cleaned frequently enough to prevent accumulation of dirt, organic matter, and food debris. Must clean physical facility prior to next routine inspection. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed no hand drying provisions at hand washing sink next to reach-in freezer. Person in charge (PIC) provided paper towels at time of inspection. Discussed ensuring all handwashing sinks stocked with soap and paper towels. Handwash sinks must be supplied with hot water of at least 100°F, soap and an approved hand drying provision at all times. Facilities must be maintained in a condition that promotes handwashing. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
