Spoke with owner via phone. The corporate office has sent out multiple repair technicians to repair the sandwich cooler, but they still haven't been able to fix it. Corporate is now looking at replacing it with a new unit. Owner confirmed that the unit is still empty and not being used. They are keeping the TCS food items in another functioning cooler for now. Will follow up next week with owner on status of cooler. No county legal action will result from this inspection.

PRIORITY VIOLATION-3-501.16(A)(2) and (B), P: Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Cold Holding. For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4576/AMC-Toolbox---Cold-Holding.----Observed numerous TCS food items, being stored in sandwich cooler, to have internal temperatures ranging from 69F-72F. PIC stated these items have been in cooler since previous day and voluntarily discarded items at time of inspection. These items included deli meat and deli salad sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, assorted burritos, deli meat/cheese lunchables, butter, and assorted cheeses. See embargo form for complete list. It was determined the cooler went down sometime last night and was holding an ambient temperature of 63.5F. Discussed with PIC the importance of keeping TCS foods below 41F and checking coolers daily to ensure they are functioning properly. Correct By: Corrected At Time Of Inspection
