Inspector's notes

Observed an in-use faucet AVB with an attached hose leading to a spray nozzle with a shut off valve. Shut-offs, including chemical dispensers and sprayer nozzles, are not approved for continuous installation downstream from atmospheric vacuum breakers. Hose with attached sprayer nozzle was removed from faucet at time of inspection. Corrected at time of inspection. 5-205.15 (B) - Core: System Maintained in Good Repair; Maintained Addl Notes: Observed a leaking AVB attached to a hose with a sprayer shut off valve. Educated PIC that shut-offs, including chemical dispensers and sprayer nozzles, are not approved for continuous installation downstream from atmospheric vacuum breakers and may cause damage to AVB. PIC removed shut-off downstream from atmospheric vacuum breaker at time of inspection. Must repair all plumbing to a state of good repair prior to next routine inspection.
