Observed large piles of cardboard litter in beverage walk-in cooler. Informed PIC that physical facility must be cleaned frequently enough to prevent accumulation of dirt, organic matter, and food debris. PIC had staff throw away litter at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Priority Foundation-6-501.115, Pf: Prohibiting Animals>>>Observed a customer with dog in the establishment. Person in charge and employees did not approach the customer about their dog. Person in charge indicated that it is their company policy to not discuss with customers if their dog is a service animal or not and as long as the dog is leashed, under control, and not making a mess they do not need to approach the customer about the dog. Person in charge was informed that live animals are not permitted on the premises due to open food being present in the retail space; person in charge was also informed that service animals are allowed on the premises but it is the responsibility of the person in charge to ensure that the animals are service animals by asking the questions outlined in the U.S. Department of Justice's guidance on service animals.
