#39 — Contamination Prevented during Food Preparation, Storage and DisplayCore3-305.11

Inspector's notes

The splashguard for the kitchen handwashing sink is not adequate to protect the hot foods from water splashes. Increase the size of the splashguard so that it prevents splashes, or move the hot foods at least 24 inches away from the sink. Be sure to caulk the new splashguard piece. Also, there were some boxes of spices stored on the floor of the outdoor storage unit. Do not store foods and food-related items directly on the floor. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
