New permit inspection for AFC sushi inside the Safeway. Location is not in operation yet. As of this moment the company did not apply for the Variance for the acidification process.Procedures are in place for the acidification of the white rice. You will need to apply for a Variance as soon as possible. Store is opening 11/8/2023.Walk trough conducted. The following items were discussed:1). Noted most dry storage is located in the walk-in, please move most of your cardboard products, single service items as much out of the walk-in unit as possible so you do not end up with moisture on your goods and possible mold growth.Store will use time as a control for the white sushi rice and discard after 4 hours. The discard box will be filled in on the log sheet. and discard time may not exceed 4 hours.Operator will still use acidification procedure as well.This establishment/operation has been evaluated and qualifies for the issuance of the permit. To complete the permitting process, meaning issuance of this permit, and begin operation, the applicant must first submit payment of the annual operating permit fee to the Department’s Administrative Services. Note that fees paid up to this inspection approval did not include the annual operating permit fee. PAYMENT with a credit/debit card can be made via phone at 602-506-6824, Option 2. Payment with a credit/debit card can be made on-line via select “Pay a Fee” at esd.maricopa.gov. Please note that if you select payment via online, the annual operating permit fee invoice may take up to 7 business days to post online. Checks and money orders are also accepted via US Mail. If you select payment via US Mail.
