Construction complete and approved.This establishment/operation has been evaluated and qualifies for the issuance of the permit. Pre-final inspection for the Starbucks. Met up with superintendent and plumber. The following items were discussed:1). Please clean the floor under the three compartment sink.2). Flex lines off the RO system, water softener etc. Will be cut back and run tight with the pipes to the floor sink maintaining gravity flow and air gap at the floor sink. There are three lines. 3). Not sure about the drain pan, if the city is good with it, remove drain and drain pan drain and run the T&P separate to the floor sink. 4). Inside cabinet, wall, footer/ floor joints will be siliconed so water does not stand under the footers.5). Where the floor is patched the floor will be polished to match existing and water sealed. There are two spots.6). Left over saw cuts will be finished out flush with the floor.7). Backflow valves will be tested and certified.8). If the expansion tank, upstream of the espresso machine can be removed then remove the tank. It takes up space inhibits the cleaning on the floor.9). Second inspection for the Starbucks. Met up with superintendent and plumber. The following items were discussed:1). Water heater has been upsized.The following backflow valves will be installed:2). A reduced pressure principal backflow preventer will be installed upstream of the reverse osmosis (RO) system. 3). A Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Valve (RP) upstream on the water supply line to the in-sink pitcher rinser. Two if there is hot and cold.4). Dual Check valves that meet plumbing standard ASSE 1022 for the Espresso Machine and Tea/Coffee Brewer.5). In the booth. Drain lines may not run unnecessarily exposed, shall be rigid, properly braced, where needed run along the wall, maintaining gravity flow and a 1-inch air gap at the floor sink. Drain lines shall be installed so that they accommodate cleaning and the provision of storage space as much as possible. Drain lines may not be run over the floor or cross over under counter compartments. 6). Door to the room with ice machine will require a foot pedal to open so ice can be scooped after washing hands.7). Provide a washable ceiling over the booth.8). Chase lines where protruding out of the floor will be cut back and floor finished out around them. Areas will be cleanable.9). Inside cabinet, wall, footer/ floor joints will be siliconed.10). First inspection for the Starbucks. Please note the following:1). Water heater WH-3 note defined on page P-01. Provide a 30-40 gallon water heater for the stand. 2). 9. Provide a reduced pressure principal backflow preventer for reverse osmosis (RO) system. The backflow preventer must be installed between the water supply line and the RO system. All conduit and fittings downstream of the RO system must be flex line/PEX and/or stainless steel as stated in the plan- do not use copper or brass. Provide an approved funnel drain assembly with an approved air gap plumbed to a floor sink to provide drainage for the relief valve of the backflow device. These units must meet all other plumbing code requirements. Certify the backflow preventer and provide copy of the backflow preventer test certification. 3). All equipment and fixtures connected to a water supply must be equipped with an approved backflow prevention device or air gap to prevent backflow. Provide backflow protection for the following equipment pieces connected to the water supply. (608.16) 3a. i). Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Valve (RP) upstream on the water supply line to the in-sink pitcher rinser.ii). RP valve upstream of any in counter glass rinsers (not defined).b.
