Inspector's notes

Following re-inspection, fruit flies were observed across the seating area, resting on all walls of the facility, in bathrooms and in the back room near mop sink. Flies were most concentrated around the drink prep area wall. Discussed cleaning procedures with present staff. Observed a working air curtain near drive through window and observed sufficient cleaning procedures and integrated pest management. District manager has provided records of several pest control visits since the initial inspection via e-mail, with the most recent visit being 7/9/26. Per employees, there is a planned storewide fumigation with their license pest control specialist in order to address the issue. Establishment must be maintained free of pests and all pest control measures must be conducted by a licensed pest control specialist. Must eliminate current pest control problem and obtain pest control from a certified and licensed pest control specialist by re-inspection. A re-inspection is scheduled for Thursday, 7/23/26. There have been no updated pest control records since the last visit on 7/1/26 and per staff, pest control has not arrived to address the flies. Last pest control record available indicated that treatment was applied for ants. Called district manager and discussed plan forward. District manager informed inspector that the potential source of breeding beneath cold brew station has been identified and the facility crew is actively working on repairing and updating the station. Inspector was also informed that they have been actively working with pest control and will provide records to inspector via e-mail. After caulking dries, there is a planned storewide fumigation with their license pest control specialist in order to address the issue. Following re-inspection, observed several fruit flies in display case crawling on various pastries and sandwiches. Fruit flies were observed across the seating area, resting on all walls of the facility, in bathrooms and in the back room near mop sink. Flies were most concentrated around the drink prep area, under cold brew counter, drive-thru window and display case. Per staff, food on display is not sold to general public but all food from the display case was voluntarily embargoed by staff as a precaution. Discussed cleaning procedures with present staff. Observed a working air curtain near drive through window and observed sufficient cleaning procedures and integrated pest management. Pest control records on site shows that the facility was treated for ants with no mention of fruit fly treatment. Left voicemail for district manager. Establishment must be maintained free of pests and all pest control measures must be conducted by a licensed pest control specialist. Must eliminate current pest control problem and obtain pest control from a certified and licensed pest control specialist by re-inspection. A re-inspection is scheduled for Thursday, 7/9/26.
