Inspector's notes

Observed a dirty fryer basket stored in the basin of the hand wash sink near the ice machine. Discussed with person in charge (PIC) handwash sinks must be supplied with hot water of at least 100°F, soap and an approved hand drying provision at all times. Facilities must be maintained in a condition that promotes handwashing. PIC relocated the fryer basket and will discontinue use of the hand wash sink for anything other than hand washing. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. 2nd Consecutive Violation

Inspector's notes

Observed back stock/boba prep area with buildup of dry ingredients on the mochi machine and floor mixer at time of inspection. Per PIC they make mochi on the first of the month and store the mixer and machine like this because it is hard to clean. Discussed with PIC all food-contact surfaces that are in contact with TCS foods must be cleaned every 4 hours by washing, rinsing, and sanitizing. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. PIC started to clean machine at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed single use Lychee containers with different colored powder product stored in the kitchen. Also observed a large soy sauce bucket with a large ice scoop stored in the container. Per PIC the soy sauce container is used as the ice bucket. Discussed with PIC single-use food containers are intended for single-use and are not designed to be re-used for storage of food. Replace with food safe reusable containers. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
