Observed person in charge (PIC) wash hands for less than 10 seconds. Discussed with PIC proper handwashing procedure is to rinse hands with warm water, scrub with soap for 10-15 seconds, rinse with warm water, dry with approved drying provision, and turn off in a manner to prevent re-contamination of hands. Entire process should take approximately 20 seconds for full and proper handwashing to prevent spread of pathogens and contamination. Observed several flying tiny insects in the dishwashing area and in the restroom. Also observed 3 juvenile German cockroaches next to the water heater with 2 of them sitting inside the trigger area of the sanitizer sprayers. Discussed with Person in Charge (PIC) establishment must be maintained free of pests and all pest control measures must be conducted by a licensed pest control specialist. Also discussed to fill any wall gaps or cracks to prevent the entrance of pests into the facility. Observed missing cove base along the walls missing under the sinks in the back of the facility. Discussed cove base also protects the entrance of pest. Must eliminate current pest control problem and obtain pest control from a certified and licensed pest control specialist by re-inspection.
