Observed caulk in disrepair at the juncture of the wall and top of the hand sink near the 3-compartment sink. Discussed caulking the sink to the wall with silicon. Equipment that is stationary (not easily moved) and subject to moisture must be sealed and maintained to prevent the harborage of insects and rodents. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Discussed air gaps, which must be maintained to have at least 1" of space between the flood rim level of a sink or floor drain and water source (inlet or outlet). Please cut the drainpipe to ensure that there is at least a 1" air gap. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed the wall and ceiling around the water heater, behind the restrooms to be in disrepair and unsealed. Also observed the ceiling in the mop closet to be in disrepair and missing the vent cover. Discussed sealing the walls with a semi or high-gloss paint in the mop closet and installing FRP around the water heater and repairing the walls to smooth, easily cleanable, non-absorbent and durable surfaces. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
