Observed some organic matter on the inside of several soda fountain nozzles. Discussed with person in charge to clean the soda fountain nozzles on a more frequent basis to prevent the buildup of organic matter on the nozzles. Person in charge will clean the soda fountain nozzles. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed organic matter buildup on the inside of one of the soda fountain nozzles. Discussed with person in charge to clean the soda fountain nozzles on a more regular basis. Person in charge removed the soda fountain nozzle in question to be washed, rinsed and sanitized at time of inspection. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed a sanitizer bucket with sanitizer concentration that was testing above the 150-400 parts per million level according to the testing strips. Sanitizer was diluted by PIC to approved levels at time of inspection. Discussed with person in charge to use their test strips to check the sanitizer concentration on a regular basis. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4576/AMC-Toolbox---Cold-Holding. --Observed multiple TCS food items (such as sandwiches, burritos, and cheese) in the grab and go cooler by the cash register with internal temperatures between 47-53°F. The ambient air temperature of this unit was 47°F at the time of inspection. The Person in Charge (PIC) stated the temperature was checked more than 4 hours before the time of inspection, so food was discarded (see embargo form). Discussed cold holding policies, procedures, temperature monitoring, and public health risks.
