Observed a wall vent underneath the 3-compartment sink that appeared to be broken and/or missing some pieces such that it essentially forms an open gap from the outside directly into the inside space. Discussed with person in charge to repair/replace the vent so that there is not a large open gap in the wall, such that pests can easily enter inside. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Inspector's notes
Observed a floor drain across from the 3-compartment sink with what appeared to be stagnant water in it/the water did not appear to be draining properly. Discussed with person in charge to have a plumber look at the floor drain and fix/unclog the floor drain if necessary, so that it drains and flows properly. All plumbing must be maintained in good repair at all times. Must repair all plumbing to a state of good repair prior to next routine inspection. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed no lights available in the 3-compartment sink and handwashing sink area in the kitchen. It was observed to be very dark and hard to see in the area. Discussed with person in charge to repair the lighting so that the area is adequately illuminated. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed thick layers of organic matter on the inside of several soda fountain nozzles at the soda fountain. Discussed with person in charge to clean the soda fountain nozzles on a regular basis to prevent the formation of organic matter in the nozzles. Person in charge removed the nozzles in question to be washed, rinsed and sanitized at time of inspection. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
