Inspector's notes

Observed a deceased fruit fly on top of an open carton of bubble gum ice cream in the ice cream and also another fruit fly in pistachio ice cream in the ice cream display case. Also saw some deceased fruit flies inside the ice cream case on the upper rim in the case. The ice cream was embargoed at time of inspection (see embargo form). Discussed with person in charge to clean the ice cream cases and to maintain the lids closed when not in use to prevent flies from getting into the ice cream. All food must be in good condition, safe, and unadulterated. All adulterated food was discarded at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed a leak at the pipe directly underneath the sanitizer sink basin at the 3-compartment sink, causing it drain out slowly over time. It appears to be at the seal. Discussed with person in charge to have the sink repaired so it is no longer leaking. Person in charge will have the sink repaired. All plumbing must be maintained in good repair at all times. Must repair all plumbing to a state of good repair prior to next routine inspection. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
