Final Construction inspection conducted with site superintendent and Owner. Construction completed and approved. Owner stated restaurant plans to open 12 February 2024. Recirculation pump was not installed at hot water heater. Handwashing sinks received hot water of 100 degrees F, and other sinks received hot water of 110 degrees F within 45 seconds. Recommend installing a recirculation pump if sinks begin to have issues receiving adequate hot water within 45 seconds. Owner stated they removed the coffee/tea brewer. If coffee/tea brewer is installed, then an ASSE 1022 dual check backflow preventer will need to be installed between water source and brewer.Please complete the following prior to routine inspection:1. Test Reduced Pressure Principle Zone Assembly (RPZ) backflow preventer for carbonated beverage system. Provide test report.2. Install floor sink covers throughout kitchen.3. Seal soda chase line at ceiling penetrations. Ensure seal is trimmed so it is smooth and easily cleanable.4. Seal gaps at top of coved base in restrooms.5. Reinstall vent covers in restrooms.6. Replace missing ceiling tiles near walk-in refrigerator and front of the house.7. Flash and seal gap between back wall and walk-in refrigerator.9. Detail clean the facility before stocking and using the equipment.This establishment/operation has demonstrated sufficient compliance to proceed with the issuance of the permit. To complete the permitting process, issuance of this permit, and begin operation, the applicant must first submit payment of the annual operating permit fee to the Department’s Administrative Services. Construction is at 90% completion.The establishment can stock after the contractor seal all penetrations inside the walk-in units.Please address the following items prior to the final construction inspection:1. Provide a reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assembly (ASSE 1013) at the water connection point of the soda carbonator. Conduits and fittings after the RPZ must be stainless steel or PEX. Do not use copper or brass alloys downstream from the RPZ. Provide a drain cup for the vent port of the RPZ. Drainpipe must be rigid and indirectly discharge to a floor sink with minimum 1” air gap from the finished floor. Certify the backflow preventer and provide report at the final construction inspection.2. Provide a vented dual check valve (ASSE 1022) backflow preventer at the water connection point of the coffee/ tea brewer or hot water filler.3. Lower the pot filler to near stock pot.4. Ensure the largest stock pot must be able to submerge half of it inside the 3-comp sink.5. Provide a recirculation pump at the water heater to ensure hot water must be at point of service within 45 seconds upon activation.6. All sinks and fixtures must be installed and in proper working condition. Ensure there is no leak at faucet or drainpipes.7. All equipment, small wares, tools, utensils, soap, paper towels, sanitizer, test strips, etc. must be at the site for the final construction.8. Provide escutcheon plates around pipe penetrations in the facility. Please seal round the pipes first.11. Caulk and seal all gaps, cracks, and penetrations throughout. This includes gaps at countertop and die wall, hood and hood panels, corner guards and wall, floor and cove base, or anywhere that has the thickness of a business card.12. Exterior and restrooms’ doors must be self-closing or have self-closer.13. Provide vent cover for all vents.14. Provide cleanout cover for the cleanout.15. Plumbing inspection was conducted with the owner’s representative, Levit T. Construction is at 70% completion. Please address the following items prior to the next inspection: Kitchen:1. Provide a reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assembly at the water connection point of the soda carbonator. Conduits and fittings after the RPZ must be stainless steel or PEX. Do not use copper or brass alloys. 2. Provide another RPZ at the water connection point of the noodle boiler.3. Provide drain cups for the vent ports of the RPZs. Drainpipes must be rigid and indirectly discharge to the nearest floor sink with minimum 1” air gap from the finished floor. Do not use copper or brass alloys conduits or fittings downstream of the RPZ of the soda system. 4. Discussed with Levit regarding hand sinks’ location inside the kitchen. The owner would like to delete a hand sink in the kitchen. The remaining hand sink must be centrally located to support all work zones. Recommend, relocate the hand sink to next to the ice machine.5. Certify all testable backflow preventer and provide report.6. Provide rigid drainpipes for the ice machine, drip tray, drain trough of the soda fountain station, overflow water line of the water filler, and vent port of the backflow preventer.7. Provide a water stub-out with angle stop at the mop sink for chemical dispenser.8. Provide a pot filler swing out faucet at the stock pot station.9. Provide mop/ broom holders.10. The current merchandiser reach-in freezer with glass doors are designed open food. This is for retail food only. Please replace with a freezer that is design for open food.Front service area and restrooms:1. Noted the north facing counter has a secondary counter that was not part of the plan. Per plan, this area is for drink coolers and shelving should be on the east wall of the restaurant to store bag-n-box for the soda station, drop-in hand sink and ice machine. Please correct.2. Provide several coats of semi-gloss or high-gloss paint on the substrate of the countertop.3. Provide several coats of marine grade sealant on the jagged stone decorative wall at the entrance into the service area. Matte finish is acceptable.4. Provide 3/8” radius cove base at walls and floor junctures inside the restrooms and stone wall. Can use butyl grout, siliconized grout or epoxy grout to tool the 3/8” cove at the walls and floor junctures.5. Re-do the rubber cove base in most location.
