Observed a Y valve attached to the mop sink with an atmospheric vacuum breaker (AVB). Y valve attachments were a hose directly below sink flood rim and 3-compartment sink chemical dispenser set up. Instructed store manager to remove Y valve downstream from AVB for violation correction. County plumbing code document provided via email. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed food employee grab two ready-to-eat (RTE) hashbrowns and contact top of each hashbrown with barehand when placing into paper bag. Food employees shall not contact exposed RTE foods with bare hands and shall use suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves, or dispensing equipment. Bare hand contact is not approved with ready-to-eat (RTE) food items. Discussed the importance of preventing bare hand contact with RTE foods with the person-in-charge (PIC). RTE hashbrowns contacted by bare hands were discarded by food employee at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
