Observed an AVB under water pressure with a Y-valve downstream, connected to a chemical dispenser off one branch, and a hose leading to a spray nozzle with shut-off valve on the other. Educated PIC that all shut-offs, including chemical dispensers and sprayer nozzles, are not approved for continuous installation downstream from atmospheric vacuum breakers. PIC removed shut-off downstream from atmospheric vacuum breaker at time of inspection. Discussed installing a dedicated water line for chemical dispenser with PIC. Discussed removing all spray nozzles after use with PIC. Corrected at time of inspection.
