Inspector's notes

Observed AFC employee delivering several sushi trays directly into cold display case for immediate service with an internal temperature of 66-85*F. Sushi was being delivered in crate that was not capable of holding proper cold temperatures. According to employee, sushi is made at other Bashas store location on Higley and Elliot and could not provide documentation for sushi time and temperatures. E&D Permit for other location was verified at time of inspection. Sushi was rejected and embargoed at time of inspection. Discussed importance of proper handling and delivery of sushi to ensure food safety for consumers. Employee stated all food would be produced on site moving forward.

Observed chicken, tofu, seabreeze moss, broccoli, without a date in reach-in cooler. All items were found to have organic debris. According to PIC, employees are rarely on site and do food production at Bashas store on Higley and Elliot. All items were discarded at time of inspection.
