-- Observed cook handle raw ground beef (hamburger patty) with gloved hands, then start to touch ready-to-eat buns without washing hands and changing their gloves between tasks. Discussed the importance of proper hand washing and when hand washing is required with the person-in-charge (PIC). Hands must be washed at any time contamination occurs and when changing tasks. Employee properly washed hands at handwash sink at time of inspection. The ready-to-eat food (hamburger bun) that was touched by soiled glove was voluntarily discarded by the person in charge at the time of inspection. Requested the person in charge coach all cooks on utilizing poly mitt disposable gloves when handling raw animal foods. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed hand sink in the warewashing area with paper towels and utensils left in the basin at time of inspection. Als observed hand sink on the cook line with bacon and other food debris inside the basin at time of inspection. Discussed hand sink requirements with PIC. Handwash sinks must be supplied with hot water of at least 100°F, soap and an approved hand drying provision at all times. Facilities must be maintained in a condition that promotes handwashing. PIC will ensure establishment discontinues use of handwash sink for all activities that are not for handwashing. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
