No County legal action will result from this inspection.Establishment was observed operating outside the scope of their approved operating permit in violation of MCEHC Chap. 1, Reg. 4(a). Observed establishment bagging it's own ice for retail sale. In addition, observed the establishment has purchased equipment to serve open, Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) food items including pizza and hot roller food items. Spoke with the owner via telephone and informed him he will be required to apply for an Eating & Drinking Permit. Provided directions for applying and link to Permit Center via email.

A significant amount of product and equipment that is no longer being utilized has been removed. Discussed continuing to repair holes in the walls and sealing any gaps/openings to the outside with the owner. Will follow up at next routine inspection.

Observed multiple ceiling tiles that were missing/degraded along the back storage area of the establishment. In addition, observed multiple pieces of equipment (shelving, beverage display units) not in use in the back storage area. Physical facility must be maintained in good repair at all times. Repair physical facility prior to next routine inspection. The establishment shall remove any non-essential pieces of equipment from the store to prevent the attraction/harborage of pests. In addition, observed cove base missing, or in disrepair throughout store and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) panel coming off wall in restroom. The establishment shall repair and maintain the physical premises in good repair to ensure a smooth, cleanable surface. Core-6-501.12, C: Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions Observed significant accumulation of rodent droppings, dead insects, spiderwebs, and other debris throughout the rear storage areas of the establishment. In addition, observed accumulation of equipment (shelving ect.) not in use.
