Observed a gap and light shining through the bottom of the outside door in the back of the kitchen. Discussed installing a door sweep and weather stripping or adjusting the threshold to provide an effective barrier against pests. Outer openings of a FOOD ESTABLISHMENT shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings; Closed, tight-fitting windows; and Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed several spoons stored in metal cups of room temperature water on the counters in the beverage area. The spoons are used to stir beverages that contain dairy products. PIC replaced the spoons with clean and sanitized spoons. TCS foods stored in ambient temperature water can lead to pathogen growth. In-use utensils must be stored in a clean, dry location; in running water; or in hot water above 135°F. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

PIC provided the backflow certification test reports documented on previous reports.
Inspector's notes
Observed employee with painted nails scoop ice and make coffee beverages using bare hands without gloves. Employees with artificial/painted nails must wear gloves when working with exposed RTE foods. Employee donned gloves at time of inspection. Discussed the establishment's policy for glove usage when handling exposed food. According to PIC, employees must don gloves while working with food. PIC will retrain employees in order to prevent food contamination. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
