EHS stopped by and spoke with the manager. Maintenance was out yesterday to correct the hot water but the hot water has failed again today. Hot water was temping at 65°F while EHS was onsite. The manager has already alerted maintenance who will stop by again to correct the hot water and do a training with staff. Recommended hot water be checked and logged daily and sent guidance via email. No County legal action will result from this advisory.

Repeat Violation Priority Foundation-5-202.12 (A), Pf: Handwashing Sinks, Installation; Proper Temperature, Mixing Faucet. For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4573/AMC-Toolbox---Handwashing. Observed both the handwashing sink by the check out station (65°F) and the handwashing sink in the employee restroom (63°F) with hot water measuring less than 100°F. Alerted the manager who called their maintenance technician to come service the sinks. Handwashing mixing valves are to be adjusted so the water stream reaches 100°F, to aid in proper handwashing. A reinspection will occur within 10 days. A picture of the maintenance receipt along with notation that the equipment was fixed can be sent electronically via email. Alternatively a picture of the server station handwashing sink's stream measuring above 100°F with a probe thermometer can be sent electronically. SECOND CONSECUTIVE.
