Inspector's notes

Observed no employee monitoring the pizza bar for 5+ minutes. During that time, observed a customer bare hand pieces of pizza. Customer only touched the pizza slices that they had taken. An employee should be monitoring consumer self service operations to ensure no contamination of food occurs. Discussed monitoring the pizza more frequently, especially when customers are at the pizza bar. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. 3-307.11 - Core: Miscellaneous Sources of Contamination Addl Notes: 2nd repeat violation. Observed a bag of popcorn stored directly in the popcorn, touching the food. The outside of the bag is not a food contact surface and should not come in contact with ready to eat food. Bag was removed from the warmer. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

In the food prep area, observed a pizza cutter and a pizza spatula stored in between the prep table and counter. The area between counter and prep table is not a clean, food contact surface and should not be used to store in use utensils. Utensils were rewashed and moved to proper storage. Due to the walk in freezer being broken, the establishment was storing bags of ice in the ice for consumption. Bags were freshly made and did not touch the floor or other sources of contamination. Bags were removed from the ice bin. Non-food contact surfaces should not come into contact with the ice for consumption. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
