Person in charge indicated they were managing the small flying insect population with cleaning. Establishment must find a more effective way to eliminate their small flying insect problem. Insects and rodents are vectors of disease-causing microorganisms which may be transmitted to humans by contamination of food and food-contact surfaces. Effective measures must be taken to eliminate their presence in food establishments. Person in charge indicated their facility team had reached out to a certified pesticide company. Arrived at establishment. Person in charge showed inspector all of the cleaning they have done and indicated that their current pest control company does not treat for small flying insects. Person in charge indicated they finished the cleaning today. Observed improvement in cleaning but no reduction in small flying insects; discussed with person in charge assessing if cleaning is improving pest activity; if pest activity is not improved by cleaning then the establishment will need find more effective means of eliminating pest activity. Re-inspection 02/26/24.
