Observed several dented cans (beans, nacho cheese, cooked peppers, variety of soups, and sliced jalapenos) throughout the canned food aisles at time of inspection. Food packages shall be in good condition and protect the integrity of the contents so that the food is not exposed to adulteration or potential contaminants. Damaged or incorrectly applied packaging may allow the entry of bacteria or other contaminants into the contained food. Swollen, rusted and cans dented on any of the 3 can seams (top, bottom, side) or deep, sharp dents should be considered unsafe. Person in charge (PIC) separated the damaged cans. A designated area will be used to store damaged cans until removal from the establishment. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. 2nd Consecutive Violation

Inspector's notes
Observed at mop sink in the back of the facility with a not-in-use chemical dispenser that is directly connected with a hose and a Y-valve to a faucet with an AVB. Please have a separate water line installed upstream from the AVB for the chemical dispenser in order to allow the AVB to operate without being under constant pressure. The faucet with the AVB should be able to be used independently of the chemical dispenser. This will prevent chemicals from being syphoned into the clean water supply. PIC disconnected at the time of inspection and will keep disconnected when not in use. Also discussed with PIC the installation/use of a Y-valve on a faucet with or without an AVB is prohibited, because the system is not designed, constructed and installed according to law. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
