Unit was not being used to hold TCS foods at time of inspection. Per PIC, unit is only used to hold personal items and whole produce. **Also discussed proper handwashing procedure with person in charge.
Inspector's notes
Observed no hot water available at all sink fixtures. The maximum water temperature available is 68*F at the hand sinks, three-compartment sink, prep sink, and mop sink. PIC stated that the water supply to the mop sink was leaking and shutting off the water to the water heater (pipes also connected to the mop sink) stopped the leaking. PIC stated a repairperson will be onsite today to fix the water leak. Informed PIC that hot water is necessary for proper hand washing and ware washing and must be supplied prior to 24-hour reinspection. Hot water of: 100°F is required at all handwash sinks; 110°F at all other sinks; 120°F at mechanical warewashing units sanitizing with chemicals; and 140°F at mechanical warewashing units sanitizing with high temperature. Provide adequate hot water at all sink fixtures prior to re-inspection. Corrective Action: Correct prior to 24-hour re-inspection.

Informed PIC that pest control chemicals are not allowed to be stored onsite or applied by the establishment. If pest control is needed, a certified pest control applicator must apply the service. PIC removed the chemicals from the premise at time of inspection. All pest control for the establishment must be performed by a certified pest control specialist and chemicals for pest control must not be stored onsite. PIC removed pest control chemicals from premises at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

E&D, class 3 0-9OC inspection was conducted with the owner, Melissa Y. The establishment is open and operating. Permit is approved.Please address the following before the re-inspection on 3/8/24:1. Provide a vented dual check valve backflow preventer (ASSE 1022) at the water connection point of the coffee brewer. This is not a testable device, so replace the unit annually or whenever it leaks, whichever comes first.2. Provide 1” air gap for drainpipes for the dipper well and the backflow preventer. Drainpipes must be rigid and minimum 1” air gap from the finished floor.3. Separate personal items; ingredients, foods, equipment, small wares, etc. from items for business. These must be stored in a separate area from business area. There is a lot of commingling between business and personal items.4. Repair/ replace hot and cold-water valves in the handles of the 3-comp sink’s faucets. Some of them are leaking.No County legal action will result from this inspection.The report is emailed to the person in charge and auto emailed to owner.Please contact the Department at 602-506-6824 to schedule the next inspection. Allow 7-15 business days to schedule.
