Waterproof metal splashguards, at least as high and as wide as the hand sink, must be installed between the hand sink and food/ beverage/utensil-related areas within 24 inches of the hand sink.

Observed employee drop item on floor, pick up item, then proceed to pick up thermometer to temp pizza at demonstration station. Employee was unsure of where closest handwashing sink was located. Hands must be washed at any time contamination occurs and when changing tasks. Discussed the importance of proper hand washing and when hand washing is required with the person-in-charge (PIC). Discussed with person in charge about briefing employees of where sinks are located and ensuring handwashing is promoted. Employee properly washed hands at handwash sink at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
