PRIORITY VIOLATION-4-204.111, P: Vending Machines, Automatic Shutoff >>>Observed refrigerator and freezer unit holding TCS Food with malfunctioning locking mechanism (checked via holding unit door open for 30 min and checking unit gauge stating unit is out of temperature at 58*F, temperature taken with min-max thermometer) . When door of either unit is closed locking mechanism looks to fall but fails to latch to unit door. Food with in unit were confirmed to be holding at 41*F. Discussed with PIC without functioning locking mechanism there is a risk of product becoming out of temperature and TCS items may grow pathogens. Locking mechanisms shall be functioning at all times.
