Inspector's notes
Observed an employee who was taking an order at the register with gloved hands. Employee was observed handling money and touching the cash register. After the employee finished at the register, the employee was observed to then grab an ice cream cone with the same gloves without removing the gloves and washing their hands first. Notified employee of the need to remove gloves and wash hands anytime that contamination to the hands occurs, such as when handling money. Employee threw away the ice cream cone (see embargo form) and removed their gloves and washed their hands prior to grabbing new clean gloves and handling the ice cream cone. Discussed the importance of proper hand washing and when hand washing is required with the person-in-charge (PIC). Hands must be washed at any time contamination occurs and when changing tasks. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed containers of pesticide stored near the cleaning chemicals by the mop sink. Discussed with person in charge that pesticides can only be applied by a certified pest control specialist. All pest control for the establishment must be performed by a certified pest control specialist and chemicals for pest control must not be stored onsite.
