Observed penne pasta with marinara sauce in reach in cooler at 48*F, Rice in reach in cooler at 47*F. Both were labeled the with a date prior to todays date. Product was embargoed and discarded. Advised owner of business to verify cold hold temperatures of foods if cooled the day or night before using a metal stem thermometer.

Observed that reach in cooler by sandwich prep cooling in kitchen was not holding food at 41*F. Internal Ambient temperature was at 55*F. Unit was unplugged and plugged into a separate outlet and began working. Refrigerator was observed to have dropped to 38*F. Repair company came to repair outlet and refrigerator was working prior to leaving site. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
