No hot water observed onsite after 24 hours. At the men's restroom handwashing sink observed a maximum water temperature of 87.2°F. At the women's restroom handwashing sink observed a maximum water temperature of 87.8°F. At the mop sink observed a maximum water temperature of 88.1°F After discussion with the person in charge it was determined the hot water has not been restored. A new water heater is required and is in the process of being ordered. No exact date of final repair to restore hot water is known at this time. Hot water is a critical factor in preventing illness in permitted establishments. Hot water or tempered water is required at all sinks. An adequate supply of hot water is a basic requirement essential for proper hand washing, warewashing, equipment cleaning, mopping, and general cleaning duties in an establishment. An insufficient supply of safe hot water will prevent properly cleaning items such as equipment, utensils, and employee’s hands.
