Inspector's notes
Observed refrigerator unit without a locking mechanism. This refrigerator has several TCS items in it such as yogurt, meat & cheese snacks, Lunchables, breakfast sandwiches with meat cheese egg, and hard-boiled eggs. Discussed with person in charge (PIC) all micro markets holding TCS foods shall have an active locking mechanism and is able to demonstrate that it works during an inspection. Food within unit were confirmed to be holding at 41*F. Discussed with PIC without functioning locking mechanism there is a risk of product becoming out of temperature and TCS items may grow pathogens. Locking mechanisms shall be functioning at all times. Incorporate refrigerators with working locking mechanisms for TCS items. Corrective Action: Correct prior to re-inspection 7/29/25

MCEHC Chap. 8, Sec. 2, Reg. 6g - All Micro Market display units offering time/temperature controlled for safety food shall be equipped with a self-closing door, an automatic shut-off device, and shall comply with all applicable regulations of this code as determined by the Department.
