Observed in a handwashing station front of house a pitcher was stored in one handwashing sink and a rice cooker lid was stored in another handwashing station back of house. PIC relocated all items blocking handwash sink at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Inspector's notes

Observed In-use rice scoopers sitting in 100°F water. In use utensils must be stored in a clean, dry location; in running water; or in hot water above 135°F. If utensils are stored in food, the handles must be stored above the surface of the food. PIC stated they will try and fix the crockpot. All in-use utensils were properly sent to the mechanical warewashing station to be washed, rinsed, and sanitized at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed two holes in the mop sink out back. The manager stated that the mop sink had broken the previous day, and they were already planning to patch the holes. The sink works without leaking if the water level is kept low. Proper repair is required. Establishment to repair the sink prior to the next inspection. Observed a small leak from under the handwashing sink by the walk-in. Also observed a small pool of standing water by the outside mop sink in the back of the establishment, and some peeling paint on the ceiling over the prep table. Staff to mop up the standing water and continue to manage the leak and peeling paint until properly repaired. Alerted manager who plans on repairing these issues prior to the next inspection. Discussed the importance of keeping equipment in good repair. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
