Observed containers used for juices, with food debris still on them (seen as staining but is able to be removed), stored as clean on the shelves located in the back area behind the walk-in. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. PIC relocated all food-contact surfaces to ware-washing area to be washed, rinsed, and sanitized at the time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Establishment was found using Blue Spirulina as an additive for smoothies and juices. Please provide further information on the product.Any substance(s) added to food must be GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) and/or used consistent with all legal requirements. The permit holder is responsible for ensuring that their menu items comply. Education was provided on the addition of food additives and dietary supplements during the inspection. Observed baseboard peeling off behind the washing machine. Observed the entire baseboard missing from the behind the walk-in cooler. Discussed with the person in charge that all walls should be sealed at the base with a smooth easily cleanable surface. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection. 6-201.18 - Core: Walls and Ceilings, Studs, Joists, and Rafters Addl Notes: Observed hole cut in wall next to the washing machine. The ventilation hose for the dryer is fed to the ceiling through this hole. Discussed with the person in charge that all walls should be maintained in good condition. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
