Observed boxes of frozen yogurt base thawing out at room temperature. PIC stated that the delivery was made about 3 hours prior to inspection. Informed PIC that thawing at room temperature is not an approved method. Discussed approved methods with PIC. PIC stated that it takes 2-3 days for the product to thaw under refrigeration. Suggested to PIC that they adjust the time frame in which the product is ordered so that thawing may be done in an approved manner. All foods being thawed from frozen must be thawed in an approved manner. Foods must be thawed under refrigeration, under cold running water, or as part of the cooking process. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Observed two cans of Raid ant and roach spray, three cans of Zevo insect killer, Hot Shot roach bait stations, a bag of boric acid, and a pack of fly ribbon inside a cabinet of the establishment. Informed PIC that pest control chemicals are not allowed to be stored onsite and must only be applied by a certified applicator. PIC removed from the cabinet and placed in a tied bag for the owner to pick up at time of inspection. All pest control for the establishment must be performed by a certified pest control specialist and chemicals for pest control must not be stored onsite. PIC removed pest control chemicals from premises at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed dead roaches on sticky traps throughout the establishment. Observed at least ten dead roaches on the floor in the back corner of the prep area. Informed PIC that the dead pests need to be removed, and the area should continue to be monitored in order to reduce the attraction of insects and odor development. Establishment's must remove dead or trapped creatures promptly to reduce the attraction of insects and development of odors. Informed PIC that there are live roaches and pest control needs to be applied by a certified applicator prior to reinspection 10/18/2024. Discussed a pattern of noncompliance forming with PIC. Establishment must be maintained free of pests and all pest control measures must be conducted by a licensed pest control specialist. Must eliminate current pest control problem and obtain pest control from a certified and licensed pest control specialist by re-inspection.
