At time of inspection, observed Y-valve or side kick attached to mop sink faucet that has an AVB; one side was connected directly to the chemical dispenser and one side was connected to a hose. Explained to PIC that the AVB valve is not designed to be continuously under pressure and that there shouldn't be any obstructions downstream from the AVB valve. This could result in the backflow prevention device to fail. Please install a dedicated water line if the establishment would like to continue using the chemical dispenser. PIC disconnected Y-valve at time of inspection. Shut-offs, including chemical dispensers and sprayer nozzles, are not approved for continuous installation downstream from atmospheric vacuum breakers. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
