Inspector's notes

Observed an employee touch their hair, to situate it beneath a hair net, and then go grab gloves. The staffer stated they intended to start working with chicken. EHS then stopped the staffer to educated them about when-to-wash and glove usage. Staffer washed their hands before returning to don gloves. Discussed the importance of proper hand washing and when hand washing is required with the person-in-charge (PIC). Hands must be washed at any time contamination occurs and when changing tasks. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Observed bakery staff attempt to wash hands at food prep sink and not at hand wash sinks. Hands are to be washed with soap and water at assigned hand sink. Food prep sinks are for thawing foods and washing vegetables. Person in charge instructed employees on proper handwashing and correct location for washing hands. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. Advised person in charge to discuss proper handwashing with all staff.

Inspector's notes

Observed that water heater was not supplying hot water to sinks. As per the person in charge, repair company was on site the day before to repair. Piece of equipment was not working and company is trying to order part. At time of site visit no dishes were being washed at three compartment sink. Advised the person in charge to heat water on stove top so dishes are washed in warm water until water heater is repaired. Corrective Action: Correct prior to re-inspection. Reinspection to be completed within 7 business days on or before 1/15/2025 and documented on FD-87825 (Cactus Market E and D) reinspection.
