Observed several dual check valve (ASSE 1022) backflow prevention devices that have rust and calcification accumulating on them. These backflow preventers must be inspected by a certified backflow tester annually to ensure they are working properly, or they must be replaced every year. Please have these devices inspected, and keep a copy of the results in the establishment, or have them replaced.
