Observed an ice dispenser attached to the soda machine with black, slimy, organic-like growth on the deflector panel. Educated PIC that ice is considered a food item when used in customers drinks. Instructed PIC in clean in place procedures using hot soapy water, hot water rinse, and sanitizer in hot water. Correct prior to next routine inspection.
