Inspector's notes
Observed refrigerator and freezer with malfunctioning automatic shutoff locking mechanism per the operator. Per the operator's protocol to test the automatic shutoff locking mechanism for both units' both unit's failed to lock. Time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) food in both units had measured internal temperatures of 41*F and below or were frozen solid to the touch. Failure to store time/temperature control for safety food at safe temperatures in a vending machine could result in the growth of pathogenic microorganisms that may result in foodborne illness. The presence of an automatic control that prevents the vending of food if the temperature of the unit exceeds Code requirements precludes the vending of foods that may not be safe. Establishment must repair the malfunctioning automatic shutoff locking mechanism prior to re-inspection
