Observed cabinetry and drawers in all cottages with water damage. Smooth finish missing and chipping from fixtures, causing non-porous material underneath to be exposed. Person in charge to place a work order and continue to work with maintenance on areas. 6-501.11 - Core: Repairing -Premises, Structures, Attachments, and Fixtures-Methods Predefined Comment: All floors, walls, and ceilings must be maintained and repaired such that it is smooth and easily cleanable. Repair physical facility prior to next routine inspection.

Observed personal food and drink, brushes, purses, hair spray, jackets, etc. stored in refrigerators, cabinets, and drawers where food and gloves are stored for residents and food service. A place specified for personal storage is required to be established, and area should be separate from food service and storage areas to prevent contamination. Observed an accumulation of food debris in cabinets and drawers. Person in charge to assign daily cleaning to key areas. 6-501.12 - Core: Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions Predefined Comment: Physical facility must be cleaned frequently enough to prevent accumulation of dirt, organic matter, and food debris. Must clean physical facility prior to next routine inspection.
